Zimbabwe

What an unbelievable place. I got to visit Zimbabwe for the first time in 2010 to document the impact of HIV/AIDS on children - and have been back one other time since. It's both an amazing and sad place. What was once a stable place with a booming economy now has inflation at rates of one trillion and is coming out of a season where people literally starved. To. Death. It's a miracle that Zimbabweans are so resilient and joyful. Unfortunately corruption has been the norm for this country since 1980. My good friends John and Orpah that live there are some of the most amazing, hopeful, and intelligent people that I've ever met. They maintain that things will change in Zimbabwe someday.
