Uganda
After a mishap with my flight that kept me in Amsterdam for an extra day, I was really ready to get to Uganda and get things going. It's crazy what you can miss in a 24 hour span, so I had to play catch up for the first few days in Uganda.
After arriving, I realized why so many of my friends have fallen in love with the place. The landscape is outrageously beautiful and the people, despite such a tumultuous past, are incredibly resilient. The main place we worked in was called Tororo - some really awesome people from America raised the funds to drill the well, so we needed to celebrate. We had a big clean water party complete with flowers and ribbon cutting, a huge meal, and of course, a bit of dancing.
